Kayak, Canoe, and Tube trips

General

For our river trips you can either rent boats and tubes from us or bring your own.  If you rent a kayak or canoe from us, the price includes paddles, life jackets, shuttle service, and taxes.  We require you to bring or rent life jackets for your river trip with us.  

Reserving your trip

You can call ahead or show up on the whim for your river trip.  We recommend that you call ahead so that we can prepare our shuttles and equipment prior to your arrival.  If you do not call ahead we do run on a first-come first-serve basis.  We cut off drop offs with rental equipment around 3:30 p.m. in order to allow enough time for parties to get back before closing.  If we believe that the weather is not safe we will delay trips until it clears up. 

Day of

When you arrive at GCL please park along the fence on the left side of the driveway in front of our office area.  Once parked, gather your party and head over to the office. We will get your party checked in and have you sign our waivers and release forms.  After that our crew will get your rental or personal equipment loaded in the shuttle.  Gather everything else you need from your vehicle and get ready to go!  We will hold your keys as a deposit for our rental equipment and return them to you upon your arrival.

What to bring

We recommend that you bring sunscreen, bug spray, and water for your trip.  If you forget any of these items we sell them at our office.  We currently have portable bathrooms available on site.
